EECS 420. Electromagnetics II. 4 Hours.

This course applies electromagnetic analysis to high frequency devices and systems where wave propagation effects cannot be neglected. Topics covered include transmission lines, space waves, waveguides, radiation, and antennas. Laboratory experiments include transmission line, waveguide, and antenna measurements and characterizations. 3 hours lecture, 1 hour laboratory. Prerequisite: EECS 220 and upper-level EECS eligibility. LEC.

Careers Professional Opportunities Electrical engineers may work in circuit design, electronic devices, electrical and optical communications, control and automation, electromagnetics, instrumentation, energy and power, or signal processing. Electrical engineers may work in telecommunications, consumer electronics, or public utility companies; government agencies; and defense-related or consulting firms.
