IST 401. Management of Integrated Information Systems/ERP. 3 Hours.

This course provides an introduction to Enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. We explore process integration of business-wide functions (controlling, production planning, demand management, sales and distribution) as required and supported by ERP implementations. The objectives of the course include: (1) understanding processes and data needs of different business functions; (2) understanding alternative information systems solutions and the challenges of independent information systems and; (3) understanding ERP systems as solutions to business process integration. Not open to students with credit in SCM 404. Prerequisite: IST 202 or IST 301. Enrollment restricted. LEC.
