JOUR 610. Photojournalism: Still and Video. 3 Hours.

Students will produce publishable work on a daily basis, with expectations for frequent publication. Each student will learn to differentiate between appropriate uses of still versus video imaging and produce work accordingly. They will also gain deeper understanding of the practice of image editing through in-class production exercises and on-deadline work. Must obtain a grade of C (2.0). Prerequisite: For students who began at KU prior to Fall 2012, JOUR 410, JOUR 415, and JOUR 419 all with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. For students who began at KU Fall 2012 and after: JOUR 410 and JOUR 550, JOUR 551, JOUR 552, or JOUR 553 all with a grade of C (2.0) or higher. Students must be admitted to the School of Journalism, and be in good academic standing in order to enroll in JOUR 610. LEC.
