RESP 620. Community and Global Health. 3 Hours.

This course will explore a wide variety of major health issues that impact us as global citizens. Students will be exposed to an overview of challenges that face the world today as they learn about strategies and programs that promote health in a variety of settings. Through this course, students will become more culturally competent healthcare providers. They will learn about disparities related to ethnicity, socioeconomic issues, human rights, and resource limits as they relate to the health of populations. Prerequisite: Enrollment in the Respiratory Care Program. LEC.
