KU’s minor in Clinical Trials Management provides students with knowledge and skills to implement and manage clinical trials, a rapidly growing field which is involved with conducting studies to ensure the safety and effectiveness of new drugs, devices, diagnostics, and treatment regimens. The minor provides a comprehensive overview of the regulations, ethical principles, and scientific methods that are used to monitor and control clinical trials, including the development process of clinical trials from protocol development to data collection, analysis, and reporting. Overall, the minor in Clinical Trials Management prepares students to work in the clinical trial field in industry, health care, research, and government settings.

To declare a Minor in Clinical Trials Management a student must have a minimum 2.0 cumulative KU GPA and be degree seeking.

Satisfied by a minimum of 9 hours of KU resident credit in the minor.
Minor Junior/Senior (300+) Hours
Satisfied by a minimum of 9 hours from junior/senior courses (300+) in the minor.
Minor Graduation GPA
Satisfied by a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA in all courses in the minor. GPA calculations include all courses in the field of study including F’s and repeated courses. All minor courses must be taken for a grade, credit/no credit is not permitted.
