Minor in Public and Population Health

KU’s Minor in Public and Population Health provides a broad exposure to the key concepts of public and population health, as well as an understanding of the connections between public health and the community. Public and population health studies are concerned with the health of entire populations, often at a state, national, or even global level. The focus of public health is the prevention of disease, promotion of health, and improvement of the overall health of populations. Students gain knowledge in understanding core concepts in epidemiology and biostatistics, disease prevention, population health, and health disparities.

Course work for this minor is predominantly delivered online and the minor can be completed entirely online.
